Sim racing has experience on several platforms and created a huge history by winning in numerous formulas. They also won 2nd position in the FSR world trophy championship in 2013. Later they get several partnerships and driver acquisitions.
Nowadays, a professional iRacing sim racing team is the positive iRacing and the use of the racing simulator. They also have pro drivers licensed. They won five successive championships in FR 3.5 then Xavier moved to the next step for the team.
How were you get to know the sim racing?
If I talk about myself at the beginning of racing games, I started practice in the late 90 century, when I got a steering wheel and pedals. They are connected to my PC with the gaming port.
In 2007, I found a passion for online game competitions. Then, the Internet connections needed a reliable modem obstructing the phone line. The race days were an ultimate event at home, so for competition, they shut off their internet line for further uses.
We participated in many national leagues till 2012. Then we decide to take a step ahead on the worldwide scene, and we found Positive SimRacing with the use of the racing simulator.
Biggest hurdles you had to overcome to create Positive Sim Racing?
The very important task is building a team with engaged and aligned members. This might be difficult but a very important step. The task becomes tougher when you have to build an international team. Because you will find different people with different cultures and backgrounds, this step is almost the same in every field might, be sim racing or a sports team.
Despite that, The main to establishing Positive SimRacing was the absence of legal sources. Especially, the absence of an international authorizing body governing teams and drivers inhibits the improvement of teams’ championships and, accordingly, the advancement of teams.
Nowadays, the business of sim racing is considered something between the software developer and its users. A perfect investment would give a full “value chain” covering “drivers-> teams->competitions->broadcasts->audience”.
In iRacing, we attained the final three editions of the Grand Prix Series World Championship from 2016 to 2018. This WC was discontinued, maybe because of the tax on the FIA F1 licenses. Presently used by other game developing platforms for the common public.
What Should You Do Now?
It’s the toughest decision to add a driver to your team. When you are going to establish your team, then you should add fast drivers. The driver should have the capabilities of teamwork, communication skills, and supervision and also have a good image on the team. The image should be included both on track and on social media. These all factors are very important to get success. So to find all the qualities you need a lot of time to choose the right person. Drivers also wanted to join the best team to improve their performance and also where they feel satisfied.
The development of Drivers was in our DNA from the beginning. A Drivers’ Academy and also Junior teams were launched in 2012. We enabled drivers who stood later among the top worldwide. Still, as I mentioned already, unfortunately, there is no relevant valid framework to have a long-term recovery on the investment on the drivers. Despite our struggles, we stop that line.
How Can You Run a sim Racing Team as a Beginner?
In the sim racing world, the higher authority has introduced a lot of racing drivers, They expanded & introduced many business opportunities as well for others, and they also implemented new technologies and the system of sim racing day by day.
Many people talk about that this specific software is not real, but generally, this is not the loss of simulation technology, rather than the new features implemented, like tyre suspension etc.
The models executed by beginners without confirmation and calibration against telemetry data are determined to be lost when compared to the real infrastructure. It is the rule of simulation.
The laser scan track gives the same electronic replicas as the actual circuit and gives you a good immersion. Finally, we can say that immersion is excellent, and technology is improving it all the time, but for maximum immersion, your setup includes car models, and tracks must be high quality.

Moreover, if we find an expert driver who knows mutual learning, benchmarking and information to increase performance is the basic reason to establish a team. That is why we may say that the improved performance of drivers is the basic reason for teamwork!
