So First Things First!

It is a perfect assessment-centered tool that is useful for teachers and students. Students who answer correctly earn points that can be used to sell and purchase ‘Blooks.’

Blooket provides hundreds of premade question sets, or you can create your own. This innovative approach to reviewing and practicing material can increase engagement.

What is Blooket?

Blooket is a web-based game platform that enables solo or group competitions. A friendly small block that likes to play. The community comprises many players.

A game-show platform that can be used in the classroom. It is unique because it allows you to customize quizzes with different game modes, which offer different visual themes and gameplay options.

As a result, they are competitive experiences similar to those students play on their smartphones.

How Does Blooket Works?

You probably are curious to learn how Blooket works and why students find it so appealing. Essentially, presents content as a game.

There is an app called The World of Blooket that offers trivia and review games. In this game, a teacher or host selects a set of questions and a game mode. Then we generate a code that players can use to join the game from their own devices. The game will involve them answering questions to win.

It offers many games that keep students engaged and excited. Participating in games that reward students for answering questions or learning new things is encouraged.

As a result, students are taught to overcome their challenges and succeed when reviewing. The Set Builder makes it easy to import or create question sets. Our discover page also contains an amazing collection of sets created by other users.

Blookets excel at fostering and maintaining student engagement because of the many options for hosting.

Blooket for Teachers

A teacher can create a question set, then launch a game. Students can join using a code to answer questions live. They can either participate as a team or individually. If the student gets the correct answer in the fastest time, they win.

Blooket is unique in that you can integrate quizzing with a variety of games, each with its own theme and rules. In the Racing mode, students answer five questions, then watch their avatars compete in a race based on their quiz scores.

Is Blooket Good for Learning?

Blookltet is simple, addictive, and fun. Students will enjoy the competitive games, cute design, and embedded incentives (earning or spending coins), as well as the mechanics (e.g., in Factory mode, students can strategically spend on upgrades to make more money over time, hopefully). However, the gameplay can become so distracting and absorbing that learning is pushed to the background.

Students are encouraged to answer questions repeatedly because of the game’s speed and competitive nature, which allows them to drill facts effectively.

Group gameplay features like generating groups automatically and randomly distributing points make it easy to manage classrooms. Additionally, they allow your competitors to take multiple routes within the game, allowing them to win.

The lack of diversity in the game limits the possibility of learning. Learning is more a process that occurs alongside the game than as an element of it. It is imperative that Blooket explores different types of learning and competitions that encourage more open-ended participation.

Pros of Blooket

  1. The Blooket platform eases the process of teaching for teachers while making learning fun for students and offers the following benefits:
  2.  Teachers can import the same set of questions and use them for different games. It also allows them to use sets that have been created by another instructor.
  3. Students can participate in games at their own pace to answer questions. The students don’t have to wait for a timer to finish or for other students who are slower or faster than them.
  4. Blooket games pit students against one another. This increases motivation and keeps students engaged.
  5. Students of any age can keep themselves occupied playing the games on the platform because they are so entertaining.
  6. The interface is quite interesting and absolutely free to use.

Cons of Blooket

Blooket does have some limitations and drawbacks you should not ignore, just as every coin has two sides. Here are some of the most critical ones:

  1. Providing teachers the option of ending the game at a certain time or when a certain amount is reached. Thus, a student who completes the test quickly may encounter repetitive questions when there aren’t enough of them.
  2. The website does not have a built-in reader. Users must read all questions manually.
  3. Teachers cannot modify questions created by other educators.
  4. To view or receive a full student report, you must have a paid account. The free version offers information that shows the percentage of questions answered correctly or incorrectly for the class and then for each student.
  5. Students may not enjoy some Blooket games as much as others due to their complexity.

How can Teachers use Blooket?

Blooket is a simple tool for teachers and educators. Here is a simple and brief walkthrough for teachers.

Teachers may also assign points at random to add excitement. Students who answer first may earn fewer points than those who answer correctly 10 seconds later. However, incorrect responses earn no points.

In the cafe mode, students must answer questions about preparing and serving food in cafe mode. The students can choose from a variety of characters and then battle their opponents by answering questions.

You must first create an account on the platform using your email address or Google account. The signup process is free and easy. Next, log in to your account.

When you log in, you will see the dashboard where you can create your own set of questions, or choose from available question sets. There are tabs for News, Shortcuts, and other navigation options on the left side of the screen.

Select Favorites to find and save games, as well as other public question sets you’d like to jeep. The Homework tab allows you to add or check homework assigned to your students.

On the Discover Sets tab, you can also find ideas for questions. After you’ve chosen the question set, you can choose a game. The next step is to host the game.

You will receive a Game ID, which you will need to share with your students. Once the students have played the game, you can view the results and analyze their performance.

How can Students use Blooket to Play Games?

Blooket is very easy to use for students anywhere. Students can access the games without creating an account or with one. However, having an account is always preferred.

Students only have to enter the Game ID or homework to join a class game hosted by their teachers. Students can also add their nicknames and avatars.

Additionally, students can use Solot to play online games with various subjects to choose from. This allows them to learn a lot of interesting things without becoming bored.

Once you have an account, you can log in and get started!

On the next page, you’ll be asked to create your own set of questions or select an option from one of the premade question sets.

The left-hand side of the screen also includes two tabs labeled “News” and “Shortcuts” with relevant content and useful tips/quick links to popular games.

On the “Favorites” tab, you can also find and save games, and other public question sets that you like.

In addition to the “Homework” tab, you can add or check the homework you have assigned to your students.

Now let’s add some questions. The questions are in multiple-choice format with an easy-to-use layout that enables you to select the correct answer from 4 options.

You can also add pictures to make it more interesting and set a time limit for each question!

The great thing about this website is that all content created by teachers is freely available for other teachers to use.

As soon as you publish your set, it is added to the library, and other teachers can discover it and use it with their students!

You will need to specify the type of assignment you are creating once you have finished your set of questions or chosen a premade set. Teachers always choose the “Host” option since the “Solo” option is for students.

You can choose between different game modes with “Homework” or “Host” options depending on how you use the set.

Host

When you choose to host a game, then your students will be interacting with the game simultaneously, so you can call it a group game session.

You can create competitive games and easily follow student participation. You can choose whether this is an individual or a team competition.

As part of the game, you can allow late joiners, randomize names, and set the number of questions. Through the app on their smartphones or computers, students can participate in hosted games.

Homework

The “HW” tab allows you to assign a review game. You will be taken to a page where you can set a due date and time. The goal is either a certain number of minutes played or a certain amount of money earned in the game.

Now that the Game ID has been generated, it’s time to share it with your students. In order to access the game mode in your multiple-choice game; will provide you with a number code that you can give to your students when it is ready for use.

You can use the “Student Engagement Portal” to check your students’ progress along the way and see how many correct answers they have given.
